Family Celebration

The last weekend in November, we had the chance to host our first whole church gathering in a year! Instead of member’s meetings, Pillar Okinawa has hosted a family celebration twice a year. Sadly, the one usually held in May was canceled due to Covid. The elders decided to host a celebration service still this fall and instead of a potluck which is still not allowed, rented a food truck! Here are some of the celebration pictures of our tiny corner of a parking lot on the side of Gate Two street. Also, this is our church’s favorite chicken place on Gate two street – Blue Jerk chicken. And we have succeeded in giving them enough business to keep them afloat for a little bit. Hopefully! And the day of the party the chicken people decided to have their kiddos join the toddler class for the service. Neat moment.

Pictures in random order – Our church family going up for communion; The two oldest and I serving in hospitality; The Blue Jerk Chicken truck – the smell was amazing!!- Our Pillar Family (we were outside thus masks were not required at the time for most branches, now they are inside and outside)
