A friend on the island invited me to come to a Thrive retreat (www.thriveministry.org) with her this past month. We flew down to the Philippines at the end of Oct for five days of rest, renewal and encouragement with other missionary wives. It was an incredibly encouraging time for all who went and we were able to make some great friends, learn about the roots we have in Christ (Col. 2:6-7) and have some good time to spend reading, praying and thinking through life. It was truly a gift from God.
