Here’s Emma with her beloved Mr. Fox, her second grade teacher on the last day of school.  Starting second grade was a little scary for Emma but Mr. Fox made it fun. He had a reputation of throwing candy on the floor of the classroom. Although we don’t know if that ever happened, he had several reward systems in his classroom. One of those was his weekly lunch with teacher for any of the kids who had behaved well in the classroom. We are very grateful that Mr. Fox was her teacher this year.

While there, Emma excelled in her reading and was encouraged in many other areas and stretched to do what she didn’t think she could do. She had the chance to also learn how to be in a multi-cultural environment where the kids didn’t all know her language and really handled that very well. It was an excellent school and we are glad Emma gets the chance to return there this fall.
