This is one of our favorite playgrounds here in Okinawa. Its almost entirely brand-new as the town just replaced it from last summer. Apparently we came at the right time as several playgrounds around the island are in the process of being replaced. The swings are a favorite as there are few swings in playgrounds out in town. On the military bases there are more swings to be found, but not in town. We wonder if it has something to do with the constant heat, or the mildew or the typhoons. Either way, when we find swings, its a treat.
