We have just started to get new flowers here in our yard! The beginning of spring. Cherry blossom season is right around the corner in Okinawa. This island has cherry blossoms before the rest of the country so we will have many visitors just for the beautiful blooms, or Sakura.  Cherry blossoms mean new life so the brevity of the season for the Japanese is a reminder of life’s short years. We will have an abundance of cherry blossom theme drinks, snacks and pink will be everywhere very soon.
